Please be advised that due to production schedules, our kitchen may not be in production on a day that you visit. Tours will still be offered, but you may not see chocolates being made. To find out in advance if we will be in production on a particular day, please call us at 510-652-4412 ext. 311.

Public Guided Tours

Every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm, we offer a free guided factory tour of our production facility. You'll be able to watch as our chocolatiers are in full production in our kitchen, observe various chocolates being made, and learn how hand-crafted, artisan chocolates and confections are made at Charles Chocolates. The tour will end with an interactive question and answer session. Tours will happen twice daily at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. While you won’t be able to walk through our production floor because we will be in full production, you will gain a much more comprehensive view of all the different processes that occur to make one piece of chocolate. $75 Deluxe Tour + Tasting Package
Your chocolate experience doesn’t end when the tour does. Enjoy the tour, a guided tasting of five handmade confections, and take home a gift set with our most popular products (Half pound box of confections, Triple Chocolate Almonds, Five Bar Assortment, Classic Pate de Fruit, and Caramel Almond Sticks). This is a great deal, since for $75 you receive over a $100 value.

Guided Tours

We offer a thirty minute guided chocolate tasting & tour from our cafe for groups of 20 or more Tuesday through Saturday, between 11 am – 5 pm. This provides your group with more personal attention, a guided chocolate tasting, and ample time to have all of your questions answered. Pricing begins at $10/person. Self-Guided Tours

Tuesday through Saturday, between 11 am and 5 pm, you can always visit and watch as our chocolates are being made. We also offer a brochure which serves as a self-guided tour to our kitchen which you can follow from the cafe, which will enable you to learn more about the art of being a chocolatier, and the varied processes behind each of our confections.
